Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are advanced skin treatments designed to improve the appearance and texture of your skin by removing damaged outer layers. At Aesthetics of NKY, each peel is carefully selected by our licensed nurse practitioner or esthetician to match your skin type, concerns, and goals — ensuring safe, effective, and personalized results.
While most chemical peels are performed on the face, they can also be used on the neck, chest, and hands to target common signs of damage. Our treatments are safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI) and can address a variety of concerns, including: Sun damage and photoaging, Freckles and melasma, Fine lines and wrinkles, Acne and post-acne marks.

HOW IT WORKS
Your treatment begins with dermaplaning to gently remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz, allowing the peel to penetrate more evenly. Next, a customized chemical solution is applied to the skin, causing controlled exfoliation. Over the next 3–7 days, the damaged outer layers gradually peel away, revealing smoother, brighter, and more youthful-looking skin underneath.
The strength of the peel and the depth of penetration are tailored to your needs — from lighter peels with minimal downtime to deeper peels for more dramatic results.
For best results, we recommend a series of three chemical peels spaced 4–6 weeks apart to maximize skin renewal and maintain your glow.
DOWNTIME, COMFORT & AFTERCARE
Downtime: The lighter the peel, the less downtime required. Expect mild peeling or flaking for up to 7 days after treatment.
Comfort: Discomfort levels vary depending on peel strength. Lighter peels cause minimal sensation, while deeper peels may create a warm or tingling feeling. For added comfort, we provide electric fans during treatment if needed.
Aftercare: You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions and a take-home kit to help protect and nourish your skin during the healing process.
